The Epiphany of the Epitome of Amigurumi Cuteness

On Saturday, January 29, 2011 (yesterday) I had the greatest epiphany in amigurumi since my little rabbit. At around midnight I began to crochet what would be my greatest triumph. The wool  is Patons Astra and the crochet hook that made this little piece of unbelievable craftsmanship is a size 2.75 mm.

One of the many reasons this doll is so spectacular is that I have a new technique of crocheting the head, body and legs all in one piece. This allows her to stand up easily and makes the proportions cuter. Her darling curly hair took about five hours to do, but was so worth it. The crocheted lacy edge of the sage green dress makes me cry every time I look at it. Her name is Epiphany Epitome. (Epiphany because she is a revelation of amigurumi amazingness and Epitome because she is the epitome of cuteness:)
